Anahit Hayrapetyan (b.1987) is an Armenian-born architect and artist based in Brooklyn, NY. Growing up in a wartime environment in Armenia, she began exploring the demise and decay of architecture caused by humans and nature. Her work focuses on the interaction between nature and architecture, particularly on the unclear conflicts and blurred boundaries of the latter. Her ink drawings are overgrown compositions that explore the impermanence of architecture. She received her MS in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University in 2016, MA in Architecture from Dessau International School in 2013, and a Diploma in Architecture from YSUAC in 2009.
